Intel co-operation going to introduce a new type of processor. Intel manager Poll Otelini said that on September 13th at Intel Developer’s Forum. The codename of this chip is “Sandy Bridge”. In next year this will be in the market.
The specialty in this processor is this processor contains two type of micro chips as follows,
1. CPU – Central Processing Unit
2. GPU – Graphic Processing Unit
Normal motherboard has above two separately on two places. It takes a long time and more power to travel data. But in this model these two are on a single silicon chip and the data can be transferred very quickly. It helps to reduce computer’s power consumption and laptop’s long battery life expectancy.
In this processor the cache memory can manage 384Gb per second. I am sure that you can’t believe it. However the introducing of this processor will affect to the market of Nvidea, ATI graphic card companies. Now the AMD company too try to make a processor like this. But the trade name of the Intel will be famous in next decade trough the “Sandy Bridge”.
